Hyundai Genesis

Tonight, I was walking through one of my favorite casino parking lots. I never valet park. Maybe it is just a crazy superstition.

Anyway, I love walking through the parking lot. It really gives me such a snap shot into people's lives. For a month last year, I am sure that I saw the same guy living in a big Lexus SUV. I wonder what happened to him?

Tonight, there was a rather rude driver that almost hit me. It didn't bother me any really. I am obviously still alive.

The car was a Hyundai Genesis. That is one great looking car. At first, I thought it was some kind of new Maybach. I don't really like my local Hyundai dealer, but I am going to put that car on my list of possible new cars. Even though, one almost did hit me...

Bad Casino Customer Service is Bad for Everyone

The word casino has Italian roots. Back in the day, it meant a large public house where everyone gathered, something like that...

Basically, a casino was supposed to be a place that was accommodating and welcoming. Casinos were never really about gambling. Even today, if you really look at it, most people are not gambling. They are simply their for the experience.

That is why I am really stumped about why some casinos are delivering such terrible customer service. In particular, I am seeing it most in the casino restaurants.

For two nights in a row now, I have received the worst customer service in two different casino restaurants. They really don't know it is all about the experience.

Casino Promotion Drama

It seems that my local casino promotions are bringing out more drama lately. Basically, I think there are a group of about 30 people that make every single casino promotion. Personally, I just like to watch the human theatrical element of it. But lately, things are getting very competitive. People are threatening to sue each other and call the police. I love it.

Art Theft

Art theft always fascinates me. I don't know why. Actually, all crime fascinates me. I do have that bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

I was just reading about this interesting case where apparently a night security guard stole this tiny Degas painting. Just put it in his pocket and walked out, I guess. It is a very tiny piece of art. Degas never really did it for me, but art theft always fascinates me.

New Year's Eve

I never know how to spell New Year's Eve. It really confuses me.

Anyway, I am sitting here trying to decide which casino to celebrate the New Year in.

Last year, I played poker all night for New Year's Eve and actually won an above average amount of money. NYE (that works, I don't have to spell anything) brings out the drunks and they don't play poker too well.

Texas Blizzard!

Wow, I am spending Christmas here in Texas and wake up this morning to a full blizzard!

How am I going to get to the casino???? They are probably closed!!! What am I going to do???
